Independent web + brand studio ยท Central Florida
Good work deserves a website people trust.
Signal Grove designs websites, brand systems and digital platforms that make businesses easier to trust, easier to understand and easier to choose. From focused local sites to multi-location programs built for national scale.
Serving Orlando, Tampa Bay & Nationwide.

Founder-led, close to the work
Strategy stays close to the work.
Signal Grove is founder-led. Strategy, design direction and the client relationship stay close to the work instead of disappearing through layers of account management. Richard Ferguson leads each engagement directly, from the initial strategy through design direction and launch.
Before Signal Grove, he spent more than two decades across ecommerce, merchandising, sourcing, product development and complex multi-location programs. That experience still shapes how the studio approaches digital work: build a strong system first, make the decisions clear, and make sure it can hold together when the scope gets bigger.
The studio also runs its own properties. Nine of the platforms in the portfolio are ours and live: directories, a collectibles storefront, a marketplace and review sites. We keep them running, pay for their mistakes, and use what they teach us on client work.
What we do
Websites
Hand-built, no page builder, no stack of plugins that breaks when one of them updates.
Custom pages written and structured around what people actually search for, with the speed budget decided during the build rather than patched afterward. You own the design, the content and the page structure when it is finished.
WebsitesBranding
A brand is a system, not a logo file.
Lockups that work reversed and at favicon size, a palette with roles rather than a single color, a type scale, and a written guide your printer and sign maker can follow without calling you. Quoted to scope, because a wordmark refresh and a full identity are not the same job.
BrandingMarketing
No retainer that quietly becomes three social posts.
Local search structure, content written for the question people type before they are ready to call, a Google Business Profile that is actually current, reviews handled properly, and a monthly picture of what moved in plain language.
MarketingWho we work with
Organizations where decisions still happen close to the work.
- Local and regional businesses
- Trades, home services, and the operators who live on local search.
- B2B and logistics
- Freight, warehousing and fulfillment, where the site has to carry credibility first.
- Specialty retailers
- Catalogs, collectibles and inventory that needs research attached to it.
- Nonprofits and community organizations
- Where the same budget has to cover the brand, the site and the ask.
- Selected national clients
- Work we take on outside Florida when the fit is right.

Owned platforms
We build for clients. We build for ourselves, too.
Signal Grove operates its own directories, marketplaces, ecommerce properties and content platforms. Decisions about search architecture, catalog structure, conversion, content and maintenance do not end at launch for us. We live with them.
How projects run
Read the situation
What exists now, who it is for, what it is competing against, and which of the three disciplines the money should go to first. Sometimes the answer is not a new website.
Design and write together
Identity and pages are drawn at the same time, because a logo delivered in isolation arrives with no instructions for how it sits on a page.
Build it lean
Custom code, budgeted images and fonts, real service and location pages with their own structure rather than one page hoping to cover everything.
Launch and hand over
Domain, hosting, analytics, forms verified end to end, and the brand guide handed across so the next printer does not have to guess.
Where pricing starts
Websites carry a published starting price. Branding is quoted to scope because a wordmark refresh and a full identity are not the same job. Marketing is monthly because the work is monthly.
- Core Essentials
- $1,450Flat rate, or a payment plan
For a single-location business or nonprofit replacing a slow, dated site with a fast, lean one.
- Professional Website
- $2,950Starting price
For a growing business that needs more pages, a clearer path to contact, and steady local search visibility.
- Premium Growth Website
- $4,950Starting price
For businesses that need more than a standard site: advanced search, customer portals, automated review displays, filtering, or industry calculators.
How we work
We say what a project actually is.
Half of the work below is independent concept work we initiated ourselves. It says so on the tile and again on the project page. We have never published a client result we could not show you.
We do not run a platform you cannot leave.
After final payment the design, content and page structure are yours, and hosting can move to your own account whenever you want it to.
We quote before we start.
Flat prices where a flat price is honest, and a fixed number before work begins where it is not. No surprise invoice at the end of a month.
We run this on our own properties first.
Nine of the platforms in the portfolio are ours, and live. Every structural argument we make about local search is one we are already living with.
Asked before a first call
The rest are on the full FAQ.
Most flat-rate website builds launch two to four weeks after kickoff, provided content, images, and feedback arrive on schedule. Larger platforms and multi-location programs are phased to scope, with their own schedule agreed before work starts.
Custom builds are a one-time flat project fee based on pages, calculators, and SEO scope. A deposit starts design, and the remaining balance is set by your final scope and due at launch. Core Essentials is a fixed price; the larger tiers start from the price shown and are quoted to scope. Payment plans are available.
After final payment, you own the completed website design, content, page structure, and project files, excluding third-party tools, licensed assets, and Signal Grove internal process materials.
Yes. Many projects start by replacing a slow or outdated site with a faster custom build. We can review your current site, keep what works, and rebuild what's holding you back.
